GIVE, GIVE,GIVE AND THEN GIVE MORE!!!!!
by Gill ini've just been reading the november the 1st watchtower and its article on contributions that warm god's heart!.
it likens the contributions received by the wtbts as those given to rebuild god's temple in jerusalem!
the sheer cheek of the comparison!.

I am not alone!!!!!
by Krisiva10 init took me a bit of reading through some posts to realize that this site is exactly what i have been looking for, for such a long time!!
people to share my blown away realization i experienced after i quit going to the meetings and went against my mother!
it feels great to see people who have gone through and felt the same as i and who have taken the steps to change their life.

Do you blame BUSH?
by free2beme ini know bush is not a popular president.
i am a registered independent, used to be a republican, and i am not a huge fan of bush.

The reason I arrived, and why I'm still here...
by OldSoul inthanks to lilycurly, i don't think i will be able to even nominally remain a witness for much longer.
the whole "fading" thing goes against the grain anyway.. i arrived here, as my first venture into ex-jw land, as a lurker.
within a few hours, i spotted two people i knew whoto my surprisehad not yet become ex-ex-jws but were still posting here.

A mate of mine recently realised his life dream of jetting out to the states and driving down through San Francisco and around that area (route 6?) and he said that he filled up some 6 litre guzzler for the equivalent of £30. Now when you consider that my 1.4 golf (which today almost clunked out on me on my way home) takes £30 to fill up (just)
lol where is the justice in the world.?

Think of it this way guys. Here in England we pay about £1 a litre. It recently went down to about 93pence, but roughly, you pay £1 a litre. Now consider this: The American dollar is worth about half of the pound. So we pay double what you pay. AND the price of living is more expensive here.
Damn Arabs.

Does the sadness ever leave?
by pc inhi everyone, haven't posted for awhile.. i am probably just rambling tonight( a few glasses of great red wine) so pardon me.
every once and awhile i just have such great sadness that begins to permiate my thoughts.not just for me but for everyone who has walked this path.
i happen to have a pretty great life, but sometimes this deep sadness rises up in me for all the things that might have been.

I know what you are saying. I get sad just thinking about the scenario that I have been born in/surrounded by. Bummer.
